The Dodgers Could be Getting a Long Lost Reliever Back Soon

Cyr got into 2 games with the Dodgers before the shoulder issue surfaced. He was transferred to the 60-day IL on May 26th when the team needed a roster spot for Clayton Kershaw, who was coming off the bereavement list following the death of his mother.

The right-hander joined the Arizona Complex League Dodgers on Saturday night and tossed a clean inning of relief. Having been sidelined for nearly two and a half months, it's reasonable to expect that he will spend at least two weeks on rehab before making a full return.

Once his rehab stint concludes, Cyr will likely rejoin the Triple-A Oklahoma City squad where he had a 4.86 ERA in 15 appearances across April and May.

The Dodgers signed Cyr to a minor league deal this past offseason. He's also pitched for the Philadelphia Phillies and Oakland A's in his career. The journeyman owns a 1-0 career record with a 2.40 ERA over 15 MLB innings.
