Reports: White Sox OF AJ Pollock declines $13M option
Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

Outfielder AJ Pollock has declined his $13 million option with the Chicago White Sox, multiple outlets reported.

Pollock, 34, instead will take a $5 million buyout and test the free agency waters after one season with Chicago.

He batted .245, the lowest mark of his career in a full season, with 14 homers and 56 RBIs in 138 games in 2022.

Pollock is a career .276 hitter with an .801 OPS, 140 home runs and 470 RBIs over 1,033 games with the Arizona Diamondbacks (2012-18), Los Angeles Dodgers (2019-21) and White Sox.

He made the National League All-Star team and won a Gold Glove in 2015. The Dodgers traded him to Chicago on April 1 for reliever Craig Kimbrel.
