Philadelphia Phillies Slugger Nick Castellanos and His Son Go Viral in Awesome Moment
USA TODAY Sports

In one of the purest moments you'll see all baseball season, Philadelphia Phillies slugger Nick Castellanos and his son went viral on Wednesday night.

Castellanos homered for the Phillies against the Milwaukee Brewers and his son was absolutely loving it. You can see his son jump up and down, Castellanos point at him, and the two share an embrace after Castellanos crossed home plate.

You can watch it below:

At the time of this posting, the Phillies trail the Brewers, 5-3, in the top of the ninth inning. For Castellanos, he's 1-for-4 with the homer and an RBI. In his second year in Philly, he's now hitting .290 with 14 homers and 57 RBI.

Lifetime, he's a .277 hitter with 195 homers and 713 RBI. He's in his 11th year in the big leagues with the Tigers, Reds, Cubs and Phillies.

The 31-year-old was the No. 44 pick of the Tigers in the 2010 draft out of the Florida high school ranks.

If the Phillies lose this game, they'll fall to 52-43 while a win would elevate the Brewers to 53-43.

Entering play on Wednesday, the Phillies were in sole possession of the third wild card spot in the National League, so every game is critical. The Brewers entered play up by 2.5 in the National League Central.

The two teams will wrap up the series on Thursday in a matinee game. First pitch is scheduled for 12:35 p.m. ET as former Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes goes for Milwaukee against Taijuan Walker.
