MLB best bets, strikeout props for Monday 9/4: Astros to jump all over Rangers' Heaney

Coming off a 9-6 week in strikeout props, we're now on the hunt for our fourth straight winning week. Let's make this holiday that much sweeter with my three favorite K props for Labor Day Monday.

Andrew Heaney under 4.5 Ks (+108 FanDuel)

The Houston Astros have been a nightmare lineup to face of late. Over the last 15 days, the Astros are batting .302 and scoring 6.31 runs per game, and they have the lowest strikeout rate in MLB in that span (17.5 percent). Houston also has the second-lowest strikeout rate in the league against lefties this season (20.49 percent). Andrew Heaney has gone under 4.5 strikeouts in seven of his last 10 starts and two of his three starts against the Astros this year. This price shouldn't have a plus sign in front of it.

Bryan Woo over 5.5 Ks (+112 FD)

Bryan Woo has enjoyed a strong rookie season with his 4.15 ERA and 9.4 strikeouts per nine innings. The right-hander has gone over 5.5 Ks just once in his last four starts, but this is an excellent opportunity for a bounce-back performance. The Cincinnati Reds have the third-highest strikeout rate in MLB over the last 15 days (30.44 percent), and they're batting only .230 with a .680 OPS in that span. The plus-money value on this prop makes it even more enticing.

Ken Waldichuk under 4.5 Ks (-150 DraftKings)

The Toronto Blue Jays are the last team you want to face right now if you're a starting pitcher. Toronto leads MLB in batting average (.348), OPS (1.003) and runs per game (7.6) over the last week, and its 16.57 percent strikeout rate ranks as the third-lowest in the league in that span. Ken Waldichuk has gone under this total in three of his last four starts, and he lasted just 2.1 innings and gave up six earned runs the last time he faced this Blue Jays lineup. Waldichuk should be in for another early exit on Monday.
