Logan O’Hoppe Looking Forward to His Future With Halos

The Angels have a few young players on their roster that the front office is very excited about. This isn’t necessarily something they could say with a straight face in years, but good drafting and a few solid trades have allowed them to build up talent.

The Angels might be far from real contention, but the raw talent on their roster has some potential. Many of their younger players saw extensive playing time last year despite scant minor league experience, giving them a boost for the future.

One of these players is young catcher Logan O’Hoppe, who was acquired in an Aug. 2022 trade from the Philadelphia Phillies for outfielder Brandon Marsh. O’Hoppe showed his potential last season but missed quite a bit of time due to a torn shoulder labrum.

The team remains very hopeful for his future, and it seems he feels the same way about them. O’Hoppe recently opened up about his time with the Angels and reaffirmed that he’s enjoyed his time within the organization.

“I’ve loved every second with the Angels and looking forward to hopefully many years to come”

In 51 games last season, O’Hoppe hit .236 with 14 home runs and 29 runs batted in. It was a productive year for the rookie, who will be looking to build off it next year.
