Ex-Red Sox Hurler Reportedly Could Be Non-Tendered By Yankees Despite Solid Run

The New York Yankees could see plenty of turnover this offseason.

New York has plenty of work to do. The Yankees struggled this season and have to change the way things are done this offseason. The club already has stated it will be making changes but it's unclear to what level the team will do so. 

The Yankees are sure to have plenty of new players coming in and some leaving. One player who could end up being let go this offseason reportedly is right-handed pitcher Ryan Weber, according to SNY's Phillip Martinez. 

"Weber has been solid for the Yankees in two seasons in pinstripes. In five appearances in 2022, he pitched to a 0.84 ERA and a .167 batting average against. This past season, he pitched to a 3.14 ERA and a .298 average against in eight appearances.

"The 33-year-old's season was cut short, however, when he suffered a forearm strain in June."

Weber has spent parts of the last two seasons in New York but has been a journeyman throughout his nine-year big league career. The 33-year-old appeared in 13 games over the last two seasons with the Yankees and compiled a 2.16 ERA while striking out 10 batters across 25 innings pitched. 

Prior to joining the Yankees, Weber spent time with the Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners, Milwaukee Brewers, Tampa Bay Rays, and Atlanta Braves. It's unclear if he will end up being let go this offseason but it sounds like it is a possibility.
