Corey Seager named World Series MVP for 2nd time
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

He tormented the Diamondbacks all postseason long, so it was only fitting for Corey Seager to be named World Series MVP for the second time in his career.

Seager’s legendary World Series run started in Game 1 when he launched a long home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the game at 5.

This two-run home run would be Seager’s first of three in the World Series.

Overall, in the Fall Classic, Corey went 6-21 at the plate, scored six runs, and had six RBIs.

Through 11 career World Series games, he has hit five home runs.

After Game 5, when asked by Derek Jeter what it was like to be locked in at the plate in such a way that he was, Seager replied, ‘fun.’

Seager became the 4th player in MLB history to win World Series MVP twice.
