Clint Frazier sends funny tweet as MLB games are canceled
Clint Frazier Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

There is nothing funny about MLB canceling games to start the 2022 season, but Clint Frazier managed to find some humor.

Frazier signed with the Chicago Cubs in December, just before the owners commenced their lockout that has continued through March. After the players unanimously rejected MLB’s final proposal on Tuesday, commissioner Rob Manfred announced that the first two series of the 2022 season would be canceled.

That announcement led to Frazier’s funny tweet.

“i think it might be time to apply for that mcdonald’s job everybody said i’d be working,” Frazier tweeted.

Frazier was the No. 5 overall pick in 2013, but he hasn’t developed quite as expected. He’s now with his third organization, and he has faced criticism from fans. That’s what led to the McDonald’s jab.

The 27-year-old outfielder has made $3.22 million during his MLB career. As long as he’s been managing his money well, he probably shouldn’t need to see if McDonald’s is hiring.
