Clint Frazier has been surrounded by hype ever since being drafted No. 5 overall by the Cleveland Indians back in 2013.

That hype led to him being included in the 2016 trade that sent Andrew Miller from the New York Yankees to Cleveland.

Unfortunately, Frazier never lived up to his draft slot in New York.

He played in a total of 228 in five seasons and was let go following the 2021 campaign.

Frazier has since signed with the Chicago Cubs and has taken to Twitter to celebrate the change.

But as we can all see, he took a shot at the Yankees in the above tweet by mentioning how he will leave his razor at home.

He no longer needs to have a clean cut look with the Cubs.

Still Has The Yankees On His Mind

Frazier seems to be hinting that the Yankees were holding him back.

He has been active on Twitter lately and even mentioned how he happy he is just to be out of the Bronx.

Yankees fans are not pleased, based on a simple Twitter search of Frazier’s name.

But he can say whatever he wants and it is obvious he never fit in the franchise’s plans.

The most games he ever got in one season was the 69 he had in 2019.

He would struggle, only to be benched or sent down, only to return, and the cycle never seemed to end.

Frazier is now getting a fresh start with a Cubs team that is looking to be a surprise contender in 2022.

They entered their own mini-rebuild, and the outfielder is hoping to finally prove the hype was worth it by being part of a new great Cubs core.

If anything, he will get a proper shot to prove his abilities with his new team where the expectations are far lower than they are in New York City.
