The Reds lost to the Brewers 2-0 and beat the Padres 6-2 in Wednesday's split squad action. Here are our top performers from each game:

Carson Spiers

Spiers might be the MVP of today’s games. He pitched four innings and gave up three hits. He didn't issue a walk and finished with five strikeouts. Spiers is continuing to build his resume to be a rotational type of player in the future.

Zach Maxwell

Maxwell had a big inning of work. He didn’t give up a hit or a walk and struck out two batters.

Elly De La Cruz

De La Cruz drew two walks and single in today's game. His patience at the plate could be a weapon this season if it continues.

Tyler Stephenson

Stephenson hit a home run, finishing 2-for-4 on the day with three RBI. He appears to have turned a corner after a slow start to the spring.

Christian Encarnacion-Strand

He hit a home run and finished with two RBI.

Stuart Fairchild

Fairchild went 2-for-3 on the day with two hits, including a home run. He's battling for one of the final spots on the big league roster.

Brent Suter

Suter had a great day, finishing with four strikeouts in two innings. He did give up a run and three hits, but the veteran should be a nice addition to the Reds' bullpen.

Brooks Kriske

Kriske had a great inning of work, striking out two batters and giving up no hits and no runs.

Jake Fraley

Fraley had a great day at the plate, finishing 2-for-2. It was his best performance of the spring.
