Blue Jays wild-card series roster includes Kikuchi, three catchers, no Zimmer, Gurriel

The Toronto Blue Jays will kick off their wild-card round series against the Seattle Mariners on Friday afternoon.

Below is the 26-man roster that the Blue Jays will carry with them through the three-game series, featuring 13 position players and 13 pitchers.

Some notes… Lourdes Gurriel remains out with a hamstring injury but Santiago Espinal is back after missing a couple of weeks with an oblique injury. The Blue Jays will carry three catchers, which allows them some versatility when it comes to using a catcher as a designated hitter or a pinch hitter. Jackie Bradley Jr. made the cut as the backup outfielder while Bradley Zimmer was left off of the roster. Yusei Kikuchi is on the roster, giving the Blue Jays two left-handed pitching options.
