Blaze Alexander Goes Deep in 4th Career Game
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

In his 11th career at-bat, Blaze Alexander launched his first Major League home run with a solo shot off the Yankees’ Carlos Rodón.

Alexander’s homer provided the Diamondbacks with an early 1-0 lead.

So far this season, Alexander has exceeded expectations, boasting five hits in 11 at-bats. Originally selected by Arizona in the 11th round of the 2018 draft from IMG Academy, Blaze has quickly made his mark.

Upon rounding the bases, Alexander was greeted with the silent treatment in the Diamondbacks’ dugout.

Given Alexander’s impressive start, he could rapidly become a Rookie of the Year contender if he keeps it up.
