Devenski was placed on the IL last month with arm soreness and hasn't played since July 26 against the Seattle Mariners.
The 29-year-old is 0-1 on the season with a 13.50 ERA and 2.50 WHIP. Although he's struggled in 2020, it's hard to judge him off of just the two innings he pitched this year. In 2019, Devenski went 2-3 with a 4.83 ERA, 72 strikeouts and a 1.304 WHIP.
Biagini has pitched just 4.1 innings for the Astros this season. His 20.77 ERA and 3.23 WHIP are horrendous, so it's not a surprise to see him optioned to Houston's training site.
