Adolis Garcia's huge ALCS led to hilarious Wikipedia trolling

Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia was the hero of the ALCS, and there was a brief period on Monday night when some may have thought he owned the Houston Astros.

Garcia had four hits — two of them home runs — and drove in five runs in the Rangers’ 11-4 win over the Astros in Game 7 of the ALCS. He finished the series with four homers (all in the last three games) and an absurd 15 RBI, which is a postseason record for a single series. Garcia was an easy choice for ALCS MVP.

Following the game, fans briefly got away with some hilarious Garcia-related updates on Wikipedia. For starters, he was listed as the principal owner of the Astros on the team’s official Wikipedia page.

Garcia enters the World Series hitting .327 with a 1.102 OPS in 12 postseason games thus far. He has 20 RBI. To say that he has shown up when it counts would be an understatement, and the performance has probably made fans of one other MLB team sick.

The Rangers now await the winner of Game 7 of the NLCS between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Philadelphia Phillies, which will take place on Tuesday night. If Garcia stays as hot as he has been at the plate, Texas has to like its chances.
