Charles Barkley sets deadline for getting an offer to join LIV Golf

Charles Barkley has made no secret of his want to join LIV Golf, nor has he sugarcoated his responses to the outrage and criticism that comes with it.

But it doesn't sound like the Basketball Hall of Famer and TV analyst is exercising patience about the process, saying on "The Dan Patrick Show" this week that he won't join the Saudi Arabia-funded golf league if he doesn't have an offer by this Thursday.

Barkley has been expectedly candid about his desire to be part of the LIV Golf experience and said he met up with LIV Golf chief Greg Norman about joining. He also had no problem saying he would join LIV if the offer was to triple his salary.

But, apparently, the process of getting that big payday is still moving too slowly for the TNT broadcaster. It's fair to wonder if the slow process is because Norman is talking to multiple other broadcasters, which Barkley seemed to hint at.

Barkley plans to play in the New Jersey Pro-Am ahead of this weekend's LIV Golf event. What will happen if Barkley plays and then still doesn't have a broadcasting offer? It's anyone's guess at this point.
