With this three-sport parlay, you'll never throw in the towel

The NBA and NHL playoffs continue on Wednesday night with multiple games in each league, but let's not forget about the full MLB slate. We're inundated with action right now, so it's a great time to be alive for sports fans and sports bettors everywhere.

Let's have some fun with this loaded slate by crafting a three-sport parlay to spice up our Hump Day.

We're throwing a cross-sport parlay party

Leg 1: Miami Heat @ Boston Celtics under 204

Let's start in the NBA, where the Heat will take on the Celtics in Game 2 of the first-round series. Miami simply doesn't have enough offense without Jimmy Butler on the court, especially against such a solid defensive team in Boston. The Heat scored only 94 points and shot 32.4 percent from three in Game 1. We don't see that changing much in Game 2.

As for the Celtics, they shot 44.9 percent from three on 49 attempts in Game 1. Erik Spoelstra will have a plan to slow down Boston's three-point attack, so we're expecting a low-scoring game on Wednesday night.

Leg 2: Dallas Stars 60-minute moneyline

The Stars dropped Game 1 to the Vegas Golden Knights due to an uncharacteristically poor performance by goaltender Jake Oettinger. The 25-year-old saved only 11 of Vegas' 15 shots on goal, and the Stars lost, 4-3, despite outshooting the Golden Knights 30-15.

Oettinger has a career .914 save percentage and 2.70 goals allowed average in the playoffs, so he should bounce back with a strong game after Monday night's disappointment.

Leg 3: Chicago White Sox first five innings +0.5

We know, we know. No one wants to bet their hard-earned money on the 3-20 White Sox right now, but just hear us out.

Chicago will be rolling with left-hander Garrett Crochet, who has a 57.1 percent strikeout rate against current Minnesota Twins hitters. Those hitters are batting just .150 with a .165 xwOBA against Crochet in 21 plate appearances, plus Minnesota has the sixth-worst OPS in MLB against lefties this season. The White Sox can keep this close while Crochet is on the mound.

Throw all three legs together, and you get a +644 cross-sport parlay on FanDuel. Let's cash!

In the news ...

Mavericks, Pacers even respective series; Timberwolves take 2-0 lead on Suns — The Dallas Mavericks, led by Luka Doncic's 32 points and nine assists, held on late in Game 2 against the Los Angeles Clippers to tie the first-round series at 1-1. The Mavs are now -150 to win the series. The Indiana Pacers followed a similar path, dismantling the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 2 to even their series, but they're still -105 underdogs to advance to the second round. Tuesday night didn't go as well for the Phoenix Suns, as they were outscored 55-42 in the second half to drop Game 2 to the Minnesota Timberwolves and fall behind 0-2 in the series. The Timberwolves are massive -480 favorites to knock off the Suns.

Rangers, Panthers go up 2-0; Avalanche, Predators bounce back with road wins — It was another wild night in the NHL playoffs. The New York Rangers fought back from an early deficit to squeak past the Washington Capitals, and the Florida Panthers knocked off the Tampa Bay Lightning in overtime to go up 2-0 in their series. Up north, the Colorado Avalanche and the Nashville Predators notched convincing victories over the Winnipeg Jets and the Vancouver Canucks, respectively, to knot their series up at 1-1. The Carolina Hurricanes are still the team to beat in the betting market at +480 to win the Stanley Cup.

Heisman Trust announces reinstatement of Reggie Bush's trophy — On Wednesday morning, the Heisman Trust announced Reggie Bush will be receiving his trophy back after "enormous changes in the college football landscape," per ESPN. Bush had his 2005 Heisman Trophy forfeited in 2010 because he received improper benefits at USC, but he's officially back in the Heisman club.
