Film Room: Steelers OT Troy Fautanu an Elite Athlete
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

A day later and it still seems borderline unbelievable that former Washington OT Troy Fautanu fell all the way to pick 20 where the Pittsburgh Steelers were anxiously waiting for him. A year after trading up for Broderick Jones in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, they continued their goal of reinforcing the trenches. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and company have been clear about their desire to win the battle up front and they seem intent on upholding their word.

SN analyst Derrick Bell dives into the film room to break down his #7 overall player on his big board. This video details Fautanu’s strengths as well as touching on some parts of his game that need fine tuning. His unique play style and near-elite athleticism make him a treat to watch and offer substantial upside at one of the game’s most important positions. Steelers fans around the globe should be excited to have a front row seat for his career development.
