Another Clemson Receiver in the Portal

Brannon Spector, senior wide receiver for the Tigers, has decided to enter his name into the transfer portal.

Spector, the younger brother of Buffalo Bills linebacker Baylon Spector, spent four years in the Clemson program after coming in as part of the 2019 recruiting class. He accounted for 38 catches, 372 receiving yards, and 2 touchdowns in those four seasons.

Injuries marred Spector's senior year and even though his production saw a slight uptick in 2022 we'll never know how big a part of the passing game he could have been for Garrett Riley and Cade Klubnik in this campaign.

He did play in the latest bowl game against Kentucky but only came away with 1 catch for 9 yards. Presumably, with some fresh blood coming in next year for the receiver position, Spector will look to go somewhere that will allow him to see more snaps.

As long as he's healthy, the 6'1 205 pound veteran out of Calhoun, Georgia will give some school an experienced player who knows how to operate within a big-time program.

Spector becomes the ninth portal loss for the Tigers this offseason and the second receiver, joining Beaux Collins in exiting the program.
