Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is officially returning to the Fast & Furious.

The 51-year-old actor is set to reprise the role of Luke Hobbs after previously saying he was done with the franchise. Rock and Vin Diesel clashed on the set of Fate of the Furious in 2016 leading to Rock saying he would not be back. However, he later appeared in a mid-credits scene at the end of Fast X, teasing his eventual return to the franchise.

On Thursday, Rock posted to Twitter that he and Diesel have put aside their differences.

“Last summer Vin and I put all the past behind us. We’ll lead with brotherhood and resolve – and always take care of the franchise, characters & FANS that we love,” Rock posted to Twitter.

Rock will also serve as a producer for the project along with his Seven Bucks Productions company. Dany Garcia and her brother Hiram are also producers for the film as are Vin Diesel and his sister, Samantha Vincent. However, Diesel is not expected to appear on-screen with The Rock.

Chris Morgan wrote the script for the project, his eighth film as part of the franchise.

The untitled film is said to "bridge the gap" between Fast X and Fast 11.
