It will mark Dafoe's first-ever time hosting SNL.
Perry last graced the SNL stage in 2017, and the 13-time Grammy nominee has served as the musical guest three times overall. She also hosted in 2011.
Perry celebrated the news and teased that her performance will feel like her current "Play" residency show in Las Vegas:

"Play" will run through March. Perry will resume her duties as a judge on American Idol next month, as the iconic singing competition show is set to premiere its 20th season Feb. 27 on ABC.
As for Dafoe, the 66-year-old most recently starred in Guillermo del Toro's Nightmare Alley and surprisingly reprised his role of Green Goblin for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Dafoe talked about both films on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last week. Watch below.
