Scarlett Johansson can't watch Colin Jost on 'SNL' without worrying 'something's going to fall apart'

Scarlett Johansson previously shared Colin Jost's fear she'd spoil Black Widow for him, and she has her own set of reasons for hesitating to fully engage in her husband's career.

The two-time Oscar nominee stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show ahead of Black Widow's theatrical release tomorrow (July 9). Johansson was videoing in from New York City, which prompted Clarkson to ask how often she frequents Jost's SNL tapings.

"I think now that I'm in this unique position of being married to somebody who is a head writer on the show and is in it as his regular day job, I now rarely watch the show without having just a sort of I would say a sense of—not overwhelming panic, just like a slight underwhelming panic," she replied.

"At any moment, I feel like something is going to fall apart," she continued. "And that's the excitement of SNL. For all audiences, right? That it's absolutely live. But when you're emotionally invested in it and not just being entertained by it, yeah, it takes on a little bit of a different life."

Johansson married the "Weekend Update" anchor last October after dating since late 2017.

While Johansson is saying goodbye to Black Widow/Natasha, she is reportedly expecting her first child with Jost. The 36-year-old has six-year-old daughter Rose with her ex-husband, Romain Dauriac.

"She, like, shadows me all the time," Johansson told Clarkson of Rose, "which is wonderful. And I know it's something that I'm sure in a few years, she's not gonna want anything to do with me, and so, I should soak it all up. But there's definitely times where, you know, she's on the other side of the bathroom door, and I'm like, 'Rose! You've gotta give me a minute!'

"I'd rather have it that way than her wanting nothing to do with me," she added.
