Rue tries (and fails) to pick up the pieces in 'Euphoria' Season 2 trailer

The first season finale of Euphoria left viewers hanging off a cliff, as Zendaya's Rue relapsed after Jules (Hunter Schafer) skipped town, and it was unclear whether Rue was alive or dead during an epic musical number.

Well, Rue is alive, but she certainly isn't well.

The second season trailer finally arrived Monday (Dec. 20):

Rue arrives to a 12-step meeting with a rolling suitcase. She recounts how she fell so rapidly and recklessly in love with Jules, and Jules later asks Rue when she relapsed.

Ali (Colman Domingo) asks Rue what's in the suitcase that she's rolling around with her everywhere, and after we see Rue getting pills from Dominic Fike's new, unnamed character, it's safe to assume that she's got drugs in the bag. She does have drugs in the bag, as she tells Fezco (Angus Cloud) she has "an amazing plan."

Elsewhere, Maddy (Alexa Demie) thinks she would "look so sexy pregnant," and Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) swears she has "never, ever been happier" despite totally falling apart.

The first season finale aired all the way back in August 2019.
Along with Fike, Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) and Demetrius "Lil Meech" Flenory Jr. joined the cast for the highly anticipated sophomore season.

Created by Sam Levinson, Euphoria returns Jan. 9.
