Ricky Martin's two-year-old daughter doesn't like his singing

Ricky Martin will begin touring again this fall, and he will have to adjust to being away from his blooming family after such intense togetherness through the pandemic's lockdown.

The 49-year-old Grammy winner and his husband, Jwan Yosef, are proud fathers to four children: Matteo, Valentino, Lucia and Renn. While visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, Martin revealed that Lucia is not a fan of his singing.

"I have one little girl that has two daddies and three brothers," he said. "She's two years old, and she knows it. She knows it. She doesn't snap fingers yet, but she's about to. She runs the house. The other day, we were at—she loved Cocomelon, so I'm singing with her in Cocomelon, and she goes, 'No, no, Daddy. No. Stop. Stop, stop, stop.' ... So, she doesn't let me sing. And this is serious business."

The "Livin' La Vida Loca" star added that his eldest, 12-year-old twin boys Matteo and Valentino, have the opposite attitude to their father's career—asking when they can get back on the road and tour with him. Luckily for them, Martin's rescheduled joint tour with Enrique Iglesias is scheduled to begin in Las Vegas on Sept. 25.

"They started touring with me, actually, when they were four," Martin said. "And we're back. We're gonna do it. I cannot wait."

Martin then discussed being on the second annual Pride Issue of People, out last week:

"I just want to normalize families like mine," Martin told DeGeneres, and it is far from the first time the Puerto Rican has expressed gratitude for having a family. Last August, for the cover of Out, he disclosed that there was a time when he "went through this grieving process of I am gay, I am a closeted gay man, and I'm not going to be able to be a daddy" (h/t TODAY).
