True friends are always there for you in your time of need. Someone you can laugh with, cry with, party with, travel with—but more importantly, someone you can count on. You can ask your friends for advice, hang out with them all day, and even tell them your deepest secrets—they're the definition of a proper ride or die. 

It's no wonder that artists have been inspired to make songs about their trusted crews and BFFs, helping to prove how everyone needs a good friend circle. Here are 25 songs about friendships to help you celebrate your squad.

“Best Friend” was released as Brandy’s third single from her self-titled debut album. Sometimes a best friend could also be a sibling, which in Brandy's case is her brother Ray J. In the song, Brandy mentions how a best friend is someone she can always count on and look to for support, and she'll reciprocate those same things.
