James Corden makes 'Late Late Show' skit from behind-the-scenes 'Friends: The Reunion' footage

Remember 'Carpool Karaoke'?

The consistently viral The Late Late Show with James Corden segment started its post-pandemic comeback with an elongated golf cart big enough to fit the cast of Friends on the set of Friends: The Reunion, which Corden hosted and hit HBO Max on May 27.

The crew sang along to the immediately recognizable Friends theme song, "I'll Be There For You" by The Rembrandts. After a surprisingly harmonized sing-along, Courteney Cox admitted she'd "always wanted to do 'Carpool Karaoke'!" Corden then almost ran over David Schwimmer. (It wasn't that close at all, but it was still sort of funny.)

Corden took a solo tour of the rebuilt Friends sets on Stage 24—the reunion marked the first time that Jennifer Aniston, Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and Schwimmer were all together there since the series wrapped its iconic 10-season run in 2004—and admitted that visiting Chandler and Joey's old apartment made him feel "more nostalgic than if I was going back to an apartment that I ever lived in."

Corden recreated famous scenes before reconvening with the six best friends anybody had at none other than Central Perk. There, things got sentimental.

"I didn't sort of anticipate how much being on set was gonna hit me," LeBlanc said. "It's just we spent a lot of time in these sets, had a lot of laughs. Some of it made it on the camera, but the funniest stuff that happened between us that never made it to TV, those are the memories we keep talking about it. ... These five people right here mean the world to me."

That forced Aniston and Kudrow to reach for the napkins and dry their eyes.
