From chance meetings with veteran stars to song placements on TV hit series, to viral sensations on social media—these are just some of the ways artists are planting seeds to become the next big thing. While some artists got their start in songwriting or producing for mainstream stars, others are a few singles in and gearing up for their debut.

As 2020 was quite the challenging year in the music industry, artists still found ways to get their music heard by the masses. With tour cancellations, fans weren't able to get familiar with opening acts like they normally would. However, Monét’s latest EP, “Jaguar” shows the singer truly coming into her own as a breakthrough artist in addition to her pen game with singles such as “Moment” and “Touch Me.” She's set to release parts two and three to "Jaguar" as fans are anticipating the full-length album.
