PITTSBURGH — Pitt’s summer camp is winding down, and after the offense won the first scrimmage of the summer over the weekend, a few key defensive players stepped up to the podium Wednesday.

Randy Bates broke down what he’s seen from the defense and how the unit as a whole is developing, and Shayne Simon and Bangally Kamara both spoke to the media about their own growth and the growth they’ve seen from their defensive teammates this summer.
