He was also named to the Pro-Football Focus All ACC Third Team.

Breaking It Down

While he was a strong player for Louisville, Johnson’s best season yet was the 2021 season with Virginia. For 2022 he is set to continue showcasing his skills with the Cavaliers.

Now, Johnson has been named to the 2023 East-West Shrine Bowl 1000 list. The Shrine Bowl aims to bring together players eligible for future opportunities with the NFL and consistently hosts top tier talent. 2023 NFL Draft Buzz

Johnson is great at keeping his receivers in check. He is arguably the star of the returning three secondary Cavaliers.

While the 2021 season was a strong showing for Johnson, the upcoming season will be an exciting one to watch. A standout season under new defensive coordinator John Rudzinski could benefit Johnson’s NFL prospects.
