Two Penn State Players Accept Senior Bowl Invitations
Dan Rainville/USA Today Sports

Penn State defensive end Adisa Isaac and cornerback Johnny Dixon are the first Nittany Lions to accept invitations to the Senior Bowl, the premier annual showcase for players preparing for the NFL Draft. The 2024 Senior Bowl is scheduled for Feb. 3 in Mobile, Alabama.

Isaac was a first-team All-Big Ten media selection this season, while Dixon was a third-team pick. Dixon has exhausted his college eligibility, having played one season at South Carolina in 2019 and the past three seasons for Penn State. Isaac could return to Penn State in 2024 by using his extra season of eligibility granted during the COVID year of 2020.

Isaac returned fully from an injury that caused him to miss the 2021 season. He led the Nittany Lions in 2023 with 7.5 sacks and 15 tackles for loss. Isaac had six games with multiple tackles for loss over the past two seasons, tied for the most in the Big Ten. He also forced and recovered a fumble this season.

Dixon started 18 games at cornerback the past two seasons, including 12 this year. He thrived in former defensive coordinator Manny Diaz's blitz package, leading all FBS cornerbacks with 4.5 sacks and ranking second with 5.5 tackles for loss. Dixon had one interception, three pass breakups and a forced fumble.

Penn State offensive lineman Olu Fashanu, who earned consensus All-America honors this season, was named to the Senior Bowl All-American Team and likely will participate in the Senior Bowl.
