Ex-Nittany Lions wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith to visit USC, per reports

After a pair of SEC visits this weekend, KeAndre Lambert-Smith is set to take a trip to the West Coast next week, according to reports from Matt Zenitz. Friday evening, the 247Sports college football reporter wrote on social media that Lambert-Smith is expected to visit USC next week. The reports were confirmed by Pete Nakos of On3.

The trip would be the third for KeAndre Lambert-Smith since entering the transfer portal last Monday. The former Penn State wide receiver was on campus at Auburn from Thursday through Saturday, and will travel to Texas A&M for a visit running Saturday to Monday.

Auburn, Texas A&M, and USC were all among the early contenders mentioned around the ex-Nittany Lion last week. Early reports also suggested that West Virginia was “confident” in its ability to attract Lambert-Smith.

Penn State football opens the 2024 season against the Mountaineers in Morgantown at a date and time to be determined. The Nittany Lions face USC in Los Angeles on October 12.

KeAndre Lambert-Smith led all Penn State wide receivers with 673 yards and four scores in 2023. He finished his Nittany Lion career with 1,721 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.

KeAndre Lambert-Smith was one of two losses in the wide receiver room for Penn State football in the first week of the spring transfer portal window.

On Tuesday, Malick Meiga entered the transfer portal after four years with the program. The Canadian wide out totaled nine catches for 106 yards and a touchdown during his time in Happy Valley.

On the other side, things have been relatively quiet on bringing talent into State College. James Franklin and the Nittany Lions have reportedly expressed interest in ex-Tennessee linebacker Elijah Herring. Penn State has also contacted former Pitt defensive end Dayon Hayes.
