Nick Saban moves into neighborhood featuring several of golf's heavy hitters

Alabama head coach and golf aficionado Nick Saban recently made a dream real estate purchase, joining a neighborhood full of some of the sport's heavy hitters.

The Alabama head man purchased an oceanfront home on Jupiter Island in Florida for a cool $17.5 million, making him neighbors with the likes of Tiger Woods, Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas and Gary Player.

The 6,200 square-foot estate has six bedrooms, five bathrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows, offering an incredible view of the island coast. The property also comes fit with a private garden and is equipped with a dock and boat lift for easy access to the sea.

If anyone can afford such luxuries while surrounded by some of the best from today and yesterday ever to hit the links, it's Saban. Last August, Alabama extended Saban's contract until 2030, including a $2 million raise. Entering 2023, Saban is the highest-paid head coach in the country at $11.7 million a season, just ahead of his former defensive coordinator Kirby Smart, who makes $11.25 million annually for the back-to-back national champion Georgia Bulldogs.

Saban has undoubtedly earned every dime. Over 27 years as a head coach, he has a record of 285-69-1 (19-11 in bowl games) and ranks fifth all-time in wins behind a "who's who" of legendary head coaches, including Pop Warner (311), Bear Bryant (323), Bobby Bowden (357) and Joe Paterno (409).
