Nation's No. 1 recruiting prospect, 5-star QB Dylan Raiola, commits to Georgia

The Georgia Bulldogs have had an abundance of talent in the Kirby Smart era. That's one of the many reasons that UGA is a back-to-back college football national champion.

Fortunately for Georgia, and unfortunately for the rest of college football and especially the rest of the SEC, the rich are going to continue to get richer.

Dylan Raiola, 5-star quarterback from Phoenix, Arizona, has committed to UGA. Raiola, son of former long-time NFL lineman Dominic Raiola, is the consensus No. 1 overall recruit in the 2024 class.

“Georgia is the cream of the crop,” Raiola had previously told 247Sports. “They do everything with such class and they do everything the right way.”

"Athens, GA is home!!!," Raiola tweeted. "I'm a Dawg!!"

In Raiola, the Bulldogs are getting a legitimate star quarterback recruit.
He's 6-foot-3, 228 pounds and is clearly a great athlete. In fact, there's already some buzz that he can be better than 2023's No. 1 overall recruit and Texas signee Arch Manning.

“I think Dylan has the tools to eventually lead Georgia to another national title at some point down the line,” 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins said.

Nebraska, where his father was an All-American, Oregon and USC were also in the running for Raiola's commitment. He was previously committed to Ohio State.
