How Did Jaylen Wright Score Out at the NFL Combine?

Tennessee running back Jaylen Wright had one of the biggest events of anyone at the 2024 NFL Combine, period. He had the No. 2 Relative Athletic Score of any running back at the event, proving the home-run ability he showcased in college. Wright is only 20 years old and doesn't have much tread on his tires heading into his professional career.

Jaylen Wright is a RB prospect in the 2024 draft class. He scored an unofficial 9.82 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 33 out of 1765 RB from 1987 to 2024.

Wright had the second-longest broad jump of any running back in NFL Combine history, 11'2". He timed in at 4.38 seconds during his second 40-yard dash attempt and had the fastest 5-yard acceleration of any running back in the past two combines. Wright performed some drills during the NFL Combine but was out during the receiving portion due to a thumb procedure he underwent.

He became the University of Tennessee's first 1,00-yard rusher since 2015 this past year. Wright tallied 2,297 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns during his three-year college career and made many big plays. His best football could still be in front of him, and NFL evaluators are beginning to take notice of what he's capable of.
