No. 1 Michigan will take on a tall task on Jan. 1 when it faces No. 4 Alabama in the College Football Playoff semi-finals.

The Wolverines haven't fared well in the CFP so far. Michigan got clobbered against Georgia two years ago, and last season, the Wolverines shocked the world when they lost to TCU in the first round.

But if Michigan does what former Wolverines' offensive lineman Taylor Lewan thinks will happen -- fans will rejoice.

The former All-American believes Michigan won't just win, but will win easily against the Crimson Tide. Lewan predicts Michigan will win by double digits.

It really depends on which games Lewan was watching when it comes to Alabama. The Tide looked really bad to begin the season, started to look more like Alabama towards the middle, barely escaped Auburn, and then looked like Alabama once again after defeating Georgia in the SEC Championship.

The Crimson Tide have been a Jekyll and Hyde type of team this year. But one thing that's for sure is that Nick Saban is going to go down as one of the best college football coaches to ever coach and he usually always has his team ready for the big games.

Michigan has been dominant all season and Jim Harbaugh should have the Wolverines ready to go on Jan. 1. But under Harbaugh, the Wolverines have won just one bowl game since he has been coaching. Michigan's lone win came against Florida back in 2015.

Is this the year Michigan gets it done? The Wolverines have the talent and veteran leadership to get the job accomplished.

As of now, Michigan is a slight favorite over Alabama on New Year's Day.
