Florida State's Legacy Weekend provided former athletes with an opportunity to return to Tallahassee to be celebrated and honored.

Program greats such as Jermaine Johnson and Jameis Winston were featured over the last couple of days. Johnson was in town throughout the week and had an All-American Brick unveiled outside the Moore Athletic Center on Saturday morning.

Winston spoke with the football team after getting into town on Friday evening. He attended the baseball game later that same night and threw out the first pitch. Winston returned to campus on Saturday to provide a special speech at Johnson's ceremony.

With that being said, there's another athlete to take note of in the Winston family, Jameis' younger brother, Jonah. A rising sophomore at Hoover High School, Jonah was at Florida State for the second time in his young recruitment over the weekend.

It ended up being a special couple of days for the entire family as Winston walked out of the visit with an offer from the school where his brother cemented himself as one of the top college quarterbacks of all time.

The Alabama native was offered by the Seminoles as a quarterback, per his father. He's shown promise early in his prep career as Winston became the first ninth grader to start a game for Hoover High School at quarterback in 2022.

While appearing in eight games, Winston completed 5/8 passes for 39 yards, rushed 12 times for 56 yards and two scores, and caught 12 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown. The Buccaneers finished 11-2 and advanced to the semi-finals of the state playoffs.

Outside of Florida State, programs such as Alabama, Texas A&M, Troy, and Marshall have already joined his recruitment. Winston's Hudl profile lists him at 5-foot-10, 150 pounds.
