Doneiko Slaughter is one of several Tennessee Vols defensive backs that entered the transfer portal this offseason.
Slaughter, a former three-star recruit who signed with Tennessee during the 2020 recruiting cycle, transferred to Arkansas after spending four seasons with the Vols.
Last week, Razorbacks head coach Sam Pittman was asked who is catching his eye in the secondary during spring practice and he immediately pointed out Slaughter.
"Slaughter, Doneiko Slaughter," said Pittman. "I mean, he's as good as any of them back there. He's a good player. And he's a really good kid. He's done good....right off the top, Slaughter's a guy that's really going to help us."

Slaughter made some memorable plays during his time with the Vols, including his huge hit against Kentucky wide receiver Dane Key in 2022 that resulted in a Juwan Mitchell interception (and an absolutely raucous crowd at Neyland).
The former Vol will see his old teammates this fall when Tennessee travels to Fayetteville to take on Arkansas on October 5.
