The Wisconsin basketball team has won a close game against the Purdue Boilermakers, ending their Big Ten Conference Tournament run.

The Wisconsin basketball team fought back-and-forth against the Boilermakers, and eventually pulled off the upset victory in overtime. The Badgers finally got their revenge after losing the previous two meetings with Purdue earlier this season. However, when it mattered most, Wisconsin basketball was able to pull through and secure a gritty win.

Wisconsin Basketball Advances in Conference Tournament Following Purdue Victory, 76-75

Wisconsin basketball came right out of the gate against the Purdue Boilermakers swinging and ready for a fight. Both Chucky Hepburn and Tyler Wahl stepped up and played through tough lower body injuries to lead the Wisconsin team to a wonderful victory. Hepburn dropped 22 points after missing the previous game due to a rolled ankle, but the guard made sure he put together his best performance when it truly mattered.

AJ Storr also added 20 points and six rebounds as the Badgers’ offense flourished against a tough Boilermakers team. Wisconsin pressured Purdue and forced a whopping 16 turnovers as the Boilermakers seemed to truly struggle against the pressure of the Badgers defense.

Wisconsin basketball forced Purdue to turn the ball over way too many times, and those empty possessions ended up being key for the Badgers. The Boilermakers are a very strong, well-rounded team, which makes this win for the Badgers even more impressive.

Can the Wisconsin Badgers Basketball Team Win the Big Ten Conference Tournament?

The Wisconsin basketball team has been some of their best ball all season, and could finally regain the momentum they had earlier this season. The Badgers appear to have returned to form after knocking off the #3 Purdue Boilermakers in a thrilling overtime game. However, the next big test will come against the winner of Illinois versus Nebraska.

Wisconsin has lost against both Illinois and Nebraska this season, but also has a win over the Cornhuskers at home. Both teams are strong and could pose a threat to Wisconsin, but either way the Badgers seem to be a tough team to beat at the moment. Between their defensive pressure and versatile scoring ability, it certainly will be a tough game for either team when they face the Badgers.
