West Virginia basketball is picking up in transfer portal contacts this week. The Portal Report and WV Sports Now have confirmed six new players that WVU’s staff has reached out to.

Cliff Davis | Jr. | G | Northwestern State

Davis (6-foot-2) averaged 13.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists on 40% shooting. Davis has one year of eligibility remaining.

Elijah Hawkins | Jr. | G | Minnesota

Hawkins (5-foot-11) spent the past season at Minnesota after two seasons at Howard. Hawkins averaged 9.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 7.5 assists for the Golden Gophers. Hawkins recorded 247 assists, which was fourth in all Division-I players. Hawkins has one year of eligibility remaining.

Carlton Linguard | Rs-Sr. | C | UTSA

Linguard (6-foot-11) averaged 9.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks during his senior season at UTSA. Linguard shot 42% from the field and 31% from three. Despite being the size of a true center, Linguard attempted 3.9 threes per game. Linguard has played at Temple College and Kansas State, and has one year of eligibility left.

TJ Power | Fr. | F | Duke

Power (6-foot-9) is a former five-star recruit out of high school in the 2023 class. Power appeared in 26 games for the Blue Devils, averaging 2.1 points. The Massachusetts native has three years of eligibility remaining.

Jalen Speer | Sr. | G | Florida A&M

Speer (6-foot-1) averaged 15.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists for Florida A&M this past season in 19 games. Speer shot 39% from three and has one year of eligibility left.

Lucas Taylor | Jr. | G | Georgia State

Taylor (6-foot-5) transferred from Wake Forest to Georgia State last offseason. Taylor, a North Carolina native, averaged 14.5 points on 41% shooting for the Panthers. Taylor has one year of eligibility left.

West Virginia has lost Josiah Harris (F), Seth Wilson (G), Patrick Suemnick (F), Kerr Kriisa (G), Jeremiah Bembry (G), Kobe Johnson (G), Ali Ragab (C) and Noah Farrakhan (G) to the transfer portal so far.
