Stanford transfer Harrison Ingram set to visit North Carolina
USA TODAY Sports

Following his decision to enter his name into the transfer portal on April 4, one of the first schools to reach out to former Stanford five-star forward Harrison Ingram was none other than North Carolina.

The two have seen their relationship progress, as according to Inside Carolina head coach Hubert Davis and his entire staff went to do an in-home visit with the Ingram family this past Saturday. The visit clearly went well, as Ingram is now set to take an official visit to Chapel Hill this weekend.

In his couple seasons at Stanford, Ingram averaged 10.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game, and was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year.

Losing Ingram adds yet another reason for frustration from Stanford fans directed at head coach Jerod Haase, who was retained despite missing the NCAA Tournament for the seventh straight year.

Aside from North Carolina, Ingram has been in contact with other programs such as Baylor, Xavier, and Texas A&M.

The Dallas Product ranked as the No. 19 player in the country in the class of 2021, and earned honors such as being a McDonald's All-American, FIBA U19 World Cup member, and a First team All-Area selection.
