Larry Fitzgerald created March Madness bracket, sparking debate

Even though he has strong ties to the Valley, he appears to not believe a team from Arizona will win it all.

The 17-year NFL veteran has the No. 2 ranked University of Arizona losing in the “Elite 8” to UNC. Also on the bracket, Fitzgerald slotted Saint Mary’s to beat Grand Canyon University in the First Round.

Usually some of the top-ranked teams in the tournament year in and year out are eliminated sooner than the masses expect.

But for Fitzgerald, his bracket reveals that the No. 1 seeds would all advance to at least the second, with Marquette being the highest seed to lose in the earliest stage.

No. 12 UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham) defeats San Diego State (No. 5)

NC State (No. 11) defeats Texas Tech (No. 6)

Western Kentucky (No. 15) defeats Marquette (No. 2)

Oregon (No. 11) defeats South Carolina (No. 6)

Because of him asking “who is going all the way” in his post, his bracket sparked fan conversations of who they got.

If his Super Bowl LVIII selection of the Kansas City Chiefs was any indicator of his level of guessability in non-football competitions, though, there could be more substance to where he is coming from.
