Could Manny Pacquiao really become the next president of the Philippines?

Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach says the legendary boxer wants to become president of his home country after two more fights, according to BoxingScene.com.

"Manny would like to fight a couple of more times and then run for the presidency of his country," Roach said. "The first fighter to ever do that and it will be another part of his history and I think he will be really good at."

Pacquiao is quite familiar to the political scene. He's been a senator in the Philippines since 2016. He's also credited for helping bring charity to the country as well as awareness. 

Before Pacquiao attempts to become president of his native country, he's eyeing fights against Mikey Garcia and Terence Crawford. A possible fight against Gennady Golovkin hasn't been ruled out, either.
