Anthony Joshua goes in on ‘shambles’ Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk fight
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Anthony Joshua didn’t hold back when discussing the recent breakdown of the fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.

Joshua is currently preparing for his heavyweight clash with Jermaine Franklin and hoping to bounce back after losing two fights in a row.

If he wins, Joshua would’ve been eyeing a matchup with the winner of the Fury vs Usyk fight but unfortunately, negotiations broke down after the two promotions failed to reach an agreement.

When asked about this at his recent press conference, the 33-year-old labelled it as a ‘shambles’.

“Looking at the champions, it’s just a shambles. I can’t believe no fights have been made at the championship level.” he said.

“It’s for me to do my job on Saturday,

“From round one to round 12, I’m prepared for a 12 rounder, but I do believe in my ability, my counter-punching and all that to put a dent in Jermaine.

“I took myself away to disconnect and all the questions I’ve been asking myself, the answers came.”
