Andrew Luck...team librarian?

When Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck finally hangs up his cleats years from now, he may just have a new profession waiting for him.

As a librarian.

According to a number of Luck's current and former teammates, the Stanford alum is never at loss for words when it comes to recommending a good read.

"He’s always saying ‘I read this great book,’" said backup quarterback Matt Hasselbeck. "He’s recommended books on concrete architecture, Rob Lowe’s autobiography or ‘Mountains Beyond Mountains,’" a 2003 account of a doctor working to fight tuberculosis.

Yes, not only is Luck running an NFL offense on the field, but in the locker room Luck appears to be operating his very own book club as well.

"He’s a voracious reader and he likes talking about it," said center Khaled Holmes. "There’s more book talk than people assume, especially in the off-season when we’ve got a little more free time," added Holmes. "This is an intelligent group of guys."

While it is certainly a fun to find out that the Colts, lead by Luck, have their geeky side, Indy fans are likely much more concerned with the fact that Luck has thrown almost as many interceptions as he has touchdowns this season for the 3-5 Colts.
