Aaron Sorkin's newest series, The Newsroom, debuted on HBO last night. Despite lofty expectations and a kickass trailer, critics were pretty unified that The Newsroom was a dud. The reaction on Twitter wasn't much better although some held-out some optimism that the show had some hope. Personally I found the premise to be fine but the execution excruciating, which is odd considering the quality usually pegged to both Sorkin and HBO projects.
One of the more entertaining aspects of the show was the main character Will McAvoy (played by Jeff Daniels) being romantically connected to Erin Andrews on the show. In two different scenes, coworkers playfully brought up the subject that McAvoy was spotted during his recent vacation to the Caribbean with Andrews and that photos of them ran on ...
